I am one of pittsburgh’s 100 Beautiful Brown and Bold women for several
Reasons. I am a mother of a 17year old son, Eric and 24 yr old daughter, Raynesha whom I have raised on my own without complaint. I come from a family of 7 children of which I am the first to receive a bachelors degree in Accounting/Business Management. I was raised in Northview Heights housing projects for 20years of my life and never let that deter me from wanting more or better for myself. Most importantly I think one of the traits that the 100 Beautiful Brown and Bold women should posses is perseverance. It is defined as: steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. It's is something that I posses and am very proud of my ability to persevere despite of my circumstances.
